How can you frame your still shots without having to look into the digital cameras viewfinder?
By having both cameras side by side on the Quad Pod Platform, you can adjust the framing of your still camera to be a little wider than what you see through the video camera LCD monitor. You can also shoot in higher megapixles to allow for cropping if necessary.
Can you manually focus and zoom the still camera while shooting video?
You can. Your left hand grips and shoulder strap supports the Combo Platform while your right hand can zoom, focus and shoot. Depends on the still camera, but auto focus and program settings are most convenient and work fine.
Can I hook up remote controls?
There are so many cameras. Depends on the camera. Our original Quad Combo was designed with Sony video and still cameras that have small lanc remote controls.
They work perfectly but only with Sony products. It is possible to custom configure other remote's.
What if the Video Camera doesn't have an LCD screen like the Canon Xl's?
We have recently designed the Quad Pod HD for the canon and other similar video cameras. It has a larger footprint for bigger QR plates and you can mount a small external LCD to the Quad. Although the viewfinders on the XL's aren't as large as a typical LCD screen, you can still operate the camera wile using the Quad Pod XL.
A team system combines multi camera video and multi camera digital photography for each of two Quad Pod operators. Both have independent control of there cameras at the same time. With a 2nd Quad, you'll get the best photos and A & B-Roll video, all with the best angles and viewpoints for no matter what shooting situations you may face. Standard type extensions interfered with the quick release plates needed to quickly mount to tripod heads. So with some creative design, the Quad Pods still quickly connects to a tripod with out any type of change over. Plus you can now mount just about any quick release plate via a universal connection.
The 4 Quad Grips allow comfortable hand held shooting when standing still or moving about. It's easy to shoot in any style. The front grips are for shooting low to waist high and above. The back grips come in handy when you need to get your camera over your head to shoot down or over and around people or obstructions. Unlike simple handlebar type grips, the Quad Grips are hand contoured for a more natural feel and don't require change over time. When mounted to a tripod or mono, the Quad grips are now used for positioning the camera, but when quick mobility is needed, you're off in a snap.

Universal belt loops allow you to attach the Swivel Pod to your own belt. No need for unsightly body belts and uncomfortable pole pouches that can dig into your groin. The T Bar torque rod spreads out the weight and used in conjunction with the Shock Strap, overall weight is distributed evenly.
